The PB Model has a deep, punchy tone thanks to a Split Single-coil pickup mounted just in the right spot. A single volume and single tone control manage the sound. It’s a simple but effective design that has helped to shape the sound of rock music for decades. This is the original electric bass, and it has stood the test of time.
If you are a first time builder or an experienced professional you know the value of building your instrument on a solid foundation. The Custom Shop PB Model body is beautiful, high quality and made to spec. The Mighty Mite neck is manufactured under license by Fender. The materials and quality level meet the standards set by Fender.
The neck is made from Canadian rock hard Maple with the famous Walnut "skunk stripe" on the back. Your choice of a Rosewood or Maple fingerboard. The truss rod is adjustable at the headstock for easy setup. The neck is finished with an oil based poly.
